SDAC: Assistive Technology

Our services provides several tools that support a wide variety of needs and incorporate the principles of universal design. Individual users are able to interact with the technology in ways that work best for them. Accessible technology includes any piece of equipment, product or system that is used to improve the functional capacities of people with disabilities.

Technology Available at UVA

Some of the listed options are openly available to the University community, or rely on your personal device capabilitites. Quantities of some equipment and software are limited; in such situations, these will be prioritized for those with documented access-related needs and marked with (SDAC) next to their name to indicate you need to contact SDAC's Assistive Technology Specialist with questions, concerns, or for support.
