Welcome to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)!
CAPS is the primary student mental health clinic on Grounds. We are committed to providing a safe and affirming environment for all students seeking to improve their mental and emotional well-being. In addition to direct care, we provide consultation and referral services. You are welcome to contact us about emergency or ongoing concerns about yourself or another student you care about.

- All students who pay the comprehensive health fee with their tuition have free, 24/7 access to virtual mental health services through a CAPS and TimelyCare partnership.
- Services include virtual counseling visits, an on-demand service called TalkNow (allows students to connect with a mental health professional within minutes, any time of day, either by phone or video), and psychiatric care. Access care by downloading the app at timelycare.com/uva.
- For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911. If you are in crisis and need to talk to someone immediately, utilize TimelyCare's TalkNow 24/7 service via the TimelyCare app.
