Recovery Ally training provides knowledge and skills to UVA community members to become empathetic allies for individuals seeking and sustaining recovery. We'll take an in-depth look at addiction and the brain, the process of recovery, and help confront stigma related to addiction. Participants will learn about available resources on Grounds and best practices to help students, colleagues, or anyone in the UVA community access those services.

REVIVE! is the Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education (OONE) program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. REVIVE! provides training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose emergency using naloxone.

What is naloxone?

Naloxone is a prescription medicine that reverses opioid overdoses. It works by temporarily blocking the effects of opioids and helps the person to breathe again. Naloxone is the generic name but can be found under the branded name of Narcan.
