Mark Silvestri is a Clinical Psychologist who serves as a Recovery and Substance Abuse Counselor at CAPS. Mark earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University. He completed his predoctoral internship at the Edward Hines Jr., Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in Hines, IL, and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan/VA Ann Arbor Health Care System. Prior to working at CAPS, he worked at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center’s Outpatient Substance Use Disorders and Dual Diagnosis Program. In addition to his role a staff psychologist at the Cincinnati VA, he worked with the VA’s Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention as a Master Trainer and Consultant for the ‘Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders among Veterans’ Training Program. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, soccer, and traveling.
