Lachen Parks joined the Department of Student Health and Wellness in May 2022 and serves as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications.

Lachen leads the marketing and communications for the UVA Teaching Kitchen and Nutrition Services, Collegiate Recovery Program, WahooWell, and the Office of Health Promotion. She also manages the Department’s social media (@uvahealthyhoos) and supervises the graphic design interns for the Stall Seat Journal. 

Prior to UVA, Lachen worked at the City of Charlottesville as the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator and assisted the Blue Ridge Health District with its social media strategy during COVID-19.

Lachen graduated from Cleveland State University in 2016 with a Degree in Journalism and Promotional Communications with a concentration in Marketing.
