Gabrielle (“Gabby”) Hunt (she/her/hers) is a third-year doctoral student in pursuit of a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Virginia. She completed her B.A. in Psychology and American Studies at UVa in 2016. As a researcher, she studies the impact of social connections of adolescents and young adults on mental and physical health in adulthood. As a clinician, she enjoys working collaboratively to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, who they want to be, how they want to relate to others, and the barriers keeping them from those goals. She is passionate about making college a more connected, authentic, inclusive, and equitable space for everyone and works closely with Hoos Connected to pursue this goal. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, and interpersonal concerns, and her populations of interest include students of color and LGBTQ+ students. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and in nature, watching reality TV, listening to music, and catching up on podcasts.
