Brenda Koonce has been at UVA since 1986, joining Student Health and Wellness in 1996.  She has held several administrative and information technology positions at SHW, currently serving as Manager of Application Development and Programming.  While the team provides programming and reporting support to the department, her particular area of expertise is the Medicat software used at SHW including software function/updates, data interpretation and usage, and user interaction with the program.

Brenda graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Office Administration in 1985.  Previous employment before rejoining the University in 1986 includes Darden Executive Programs, City of Charlottesville Finance Department, Mays, Valentine law firm in Richmond, and the Omni Charlottesville Hotel.
