Media Inquiries

The Department of Student Health and Wellness is comprised of a diverse mix of services and professionals who work in tandem to meet the needs of UVA students. Further, we work collaboratively across Grounds and with UVA Health colleagues on care, initiatives, interventions, guidelines, and protocols related to students' physical health and mental well-being.

We will make every attempt to answer media inquiries in a timely manner, but service and care to our students is our number one priority.  If inquiries come during a particularly busy time of the academic year, or we feel that the inquiry is a topic that we have recently covered, then we will prioritize accordingly.

To protect patient confidentially, media is not allowed within Student Health and Wellness.

  • If you are a reporter with the Cavalier Daily, please email [email protected] with your inquiry so we can connect you with the most appropriate and knowledgeable person(s) who can best answer your questions in a timely and comprehensive manner. Please note that our staff works during normal business hours and we will respond to your inquiry within 2-3 business days.
  • If you are a reporter with an external news/media agency, you must first contact the University Spokesperson at University Communications with your inquiry.
