We, the UVA Peer Health Educators, have decided to move forward with this Saturday's 4th Year 5k with a focus on honoring the students, their families, friends, and the entire UVA and Charlottesville community who have been impacted by this tragedy. Our mission of creating a community of care is more important than ever.
We invite everyone who feels comfortable (whether you are registered or not) to join us for this community-wide walk/run.
If you would like to register (tinyurl.com/uva-4y5k), a portion of the proceeds from the walk/run will benefit those impacted by the tragic events of this week.
Packet pick-up will resume in the Office of Health Promotion from 8am - 5pm on Wednesday, November 16.
If you would like to attend without registering, please meet at South Lawn on Saturday, November 19 by 9am.
If you signed up and would like a refund, please email [email protected]

HISTORY OF THE 4Y5K
The 4th Year 5K is a beloved UVA tradition that has historically occurred on the morning of the last home football game. The race is held in memory of Leslie Baltz, a UVA student who passed away due to high-risk drinking. The race aims to create a positive tradition where students can safely come together and make lasting memories. We are excited to honor Leslie Baltz, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the UVA Leslie Baltz Art Study Fund. This year we are also honoring the students and families and entire University community which has been impacted by this week's tragic events.
